A Year's Worth of Harper

After a year's worth of picture taking, modge podging and painting cardboard numbers, taking great care to not repeat a bow over the course of 12 months, our year in review is finally complete.  We have a full 12 months to capture our little Harpie Girl's first year.  We have loved every minute- and here's proof of the fun year we had with our little girl.

Harper has grown into a feisty, spunky little 1-year old! She has 7 cute little teeth, she eats just about everything and loves cheese and bread.  She's turned into such a morning person- she is little Miss Sunshine in the mornings.  I love walking into her bedroom to wake her up- she just pops right up with a smile on her face.  I love seeing that little face peer over the side of her crib and reach for her bottle (or a hug from her mommy- I'm going to choose to believe she wants a hug from her mommy).

She loves to pull up and walk while pushing stuff.  She's holding out on us to start walking, but that's okay- she sure can get where she wants to by crawling..and climbing!  She loves her brother and likes arguing with him over who can scream the loudest, taking toys and they LOVE hugging and kissing each other.  She still says "momma" and "dadda" but she'll occassionally repeat another word here and there.  One week a few weeks ago, she was really into saying thank you..or "taytu".  I promise- like two other people heard it besides me and it happened way more than once.  I kind of love that "thank you" was her first non-momma-or-dadda word. It's definitely appropriate because of the life verse that we have picked for her, Colossians 2:7.  We pray for her life that "her roots will grow deep into Christ and her life will be built on Him, that her faith will grow strong and her life will overflow with thankfulness."

I'm super glad God gave us our little girl.  Have I said that before?  Somehow I think I might have.  Well, the first year was a big success...and we have a lifetime left to grow on.
